Speech for the Open Working Group

On December 17th 2013 there was a day of deliberations between the statistical community and the Open Working Group that is responsible for the post 2015/SDG process (see agenda and a summary). It was my privilege to be able to present the work of the Task Force for Measuring Sustainable Development to the OWG (slides). The event was recorded (video -scroll to miinute 39 for my speech).

Endorsement of the TFSD-report by the Conference of European Statisticians (CES)

On June 12th 2013 the report of the Task Force for Measuring Sustainable Development (TFSD) was endorsed by the Conference of European Statisticians (CES). Jan Pieter Smits and I had the privilege of sharing the post of Chair/Editor. We have been working together with the task force members on the report since 2009 so it was very gratifying to be present at the plenary session of the CES for the endorsement of the report.
